Florida UG Members Eligible To Win
Free CorelWorld Pass in Sweepstakes
by Ken Fermoyle
Some lucky member of a Florida User Group will win a free pass to what Ken Fermoyle,
popular computer columnist, calls "one of the best annual graphics and publishing
conferences available to end-users today."
A special aweepstakes to win a free passport to the 1999 CorelWorld User Conference
is open only to Florida User Group members, reports Rick Altman, author and founder/host
of the graphics- and publishing-oriented user conference. The $875 passport includes
all of the conference‚s seminars, keynote speeches, Help Center, meals, parties and
prizes at CorelWorld 99, to be held October 4-8 at the Doubletree Resort & Convention
Center, Kissimmee, FL.
"Rick has always supported the User Group community," notes Fermoyle, whose
Ken's Korner column now goes out monthly to some 200 editors, webmasters and computer
professionals. "But never before to the extent that he has this year. Not only
has he set up the Sweepstakes, but he will provide the venue for a User Group Media
Workshop to be held at the Doubletree on Wednesday, October 6 (see separate article).
"I hope both the Sweepstakes and Media Workshop are big successes. If so, it's
just possible they could become yearly events in conjunction with CorelWorld Conferces
held elsewhere in the county," Ken speculated. "And I have no hesitation
in endorsing CorelWorld. It's not a big draw for corporate 'suits' but it's one of
the best conferences for grass-roots users who toil in the graphics and publishing
trenches that I've ever attended. The faculty, organization and execution are excellent."
Deadline to enter the sweepstakes is June 15. For full details on CorelWorld, visit
