Search ISBN
I know, we aren't used to seeing a .nu address. But this is a good one. ISBN.nu lets you enter the title of any book and it will give you comparison prices at at least 6 different online booksellers. It is completely supported by affiliate rebates. So it costs you nothing.

Vintage Mac Help

Scams: Online and otherwise
This came from my SCIPResearchers mail list. "I found this site about some of the fictitious names and scams that are being run.
So, before you send anyone any money, check out this site to see if it is a known scam artist.

Quilts
What something for mom's Mac? How about software that helps you design quilts. Although, one could question their commitment to the Mac. The Windows version is at version 4.0, their Mac one is at 3.0. But the real clincher is their Mac demo version is only version 1.0. However they do keep up with the Mac enough to post a message that their 3.0 version will work on Classic in Mac OS X.

Powers of Ten
This one is really cool: "View the Milky Way at 10 million light years from the Earth. Then move through space towards the Earth in successive orders of magnitude until you reach a tall oak tree just outside the buildings of the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Tallahassee, Florida. After that, begin to move from the actual size of a leaf into a microscopic world that reveals leaf cell walls, the cell nucleus, chromatin, DNA and finally, into the subatomic universe of electrons and protons. Thanks to Theresa Overall at the Apple Corp of Dallas for pointing it out:
