THE TWO TOWERS
by Bonnie Smyth & Ben Smyth

For those of you, who love an adventure...this is the place for you. This is a role-playing game located on the Internet at <http://www.angband.com>, and is based on the J.R.R. Tolkien books : The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. And there are people in about 51 different countries currently playing this game.

The world is known as "Arda" and has Mountains, Forests, Swamps, Orc Camps, Wargs, Trolls, Bridges to cross, It's an adventurers dream come true.

You first start by selecting a race. Hobbit, Sindar, Silvan, Dwarf, Dunedian or Dunlending. Then you pick a profession. Thief, Warrior, Wizard, Sheriff, Assassin or Ranger. Depending on which you choose, you have different skill to acquire. Assassins can backstab...Warriors can repair their weapons...Wizards study spells and search for scrolls...Rangers can charm animals...Sheriffs can arrest killers...and Thieves steal.

The weapons are endless, to name just a few...there are Rune covered Axes, Flails, Daggers, Knives, Gleaming Rune Blades, Menacing Spiked Maces and Artifacts.

Every so often you have to go on a quest, in search of Gollum, to answer some riddles. Or to find an Artifact, and give it to a king. Maybe meet the Lady of the woods herself "Galadriel."

The fun is in finding things and figuring out how one thing fits in with another. For example: searching a room...and finding a secret way into a room behind a wall...then finding something else...and so on and so forth...I really shouldn't reveal any secrets. If you tell another player any quest information...your character will be NUKED! There are laws in Arda which one must follow.

There are many towns, Hobbiton, Bywater, Bree, Edoras, Rivendell and others. Each town has a shop to sell things you have acquired for gold. A healer if you weren't so lucky as to kill something...or someone. They have Taverns and Inns, in which you can buy your friends a drink. A trainer for either studying, or sparring so you may go to the next level. There are currently 19 levels...and growing!

This is a fantasy come to life. And also very addicting! So...Happy Adventuring....And never Trust a Fat Thief!
