Ladies & Gentlemen
It gives us great pleasure to announce

The User Group Academy Award Winners for 1999.

A fine job folks. A fine job indeed.

All entries did a superbly outstanding job, marking this a hallmark year for User Group services to their memberships and their communities.
__ This year's awards are underscored by a new, overall level of high quality and improvement -- both in purveyance of content and in appealing layout and design. Several were out and out grandstand achievements!
__ We can confidently say that this year's entries (although fewer) are the best we've seen in the history of the UG Academy Awards, or any other UG program we've seen in the User Group community.
__ Several of the Newsletters in fact are so good that Judges wanted to keep copies. We will be in touch with those newsletter editors for extra copies, and permission to publish their work in articles and upcoming books about good newsletter design.
__ We wish to publicly thank our blue-ribbon panel of
User Group Academy Award Judges:
* Roger Parker, designer, author, speaker
* Ronnie Lipton, designer, publications specialist and
__ former Editor of In-House Graphics Magazine;
* Ken Fermoyle, publications specialist, teacher, writer, and
__ columnist for computer magazines,
* Sandra Coulter, writer, consultant, Officer of the AOL PCUG and
__ President of Rockland PC User Group
* Sandra Foderick, educator, AOL UGF leader and long time UGNN
contributor and supporter.

We look forward to meeting all the award winners at the Awards Breakfast in San Francisco this coming January, and at the 10th Annual User Group Soiree later that evening.
__ All of the UGA entries this year should be *VERY PROUD* of their people and their groups regardless of which award, award level or grant they have won.
__ Thank you all for reading, and for being active members of their user groups, outstanding achievers in the User Group Community, and loyal supporters of the User Group Academy.
__ Well wishes to you all in your personal, professional and user group activities, for the holidays, and throughout 2000.
