User Group Network / User Group Academy / Nice Ice for Chuck Joiner

1997 Awards Opens on August 6th with
Nice ICE for
Chuck Joiner

Chuck Joiner, President of the Hershey Apple Core was in for a totally unexpected surprise on Wednesday evening at the 7th Annual User Group Soiree held in Boston when he was presented with the first (and prototype) User Group Academy Award for 1997. We'll have pictures of the event as soon as the film is processed!
__ Fred Showker, spokesman for The User Group Academy, and the evening's organizer noted:
"This is not just because Chuck is a dynamic President for HAC, nor because he's been such an outstanding, long-time, member of the AOL User Group Forum -- but because he is always an unselfish, right-hand man for the User Group community!"

Bill Achuff of the User Group Alliance, and organizer of the popular "MUNP" events later commented
"Chuck is always there asking 'what can I do to help' -- never taking... always giving!"
__ Amid the peals of resounding applause, Chuck accepted the honor questioning "What did I do to deserve this?" Don't thank us, Chuck... we thank YOU for your work in the User Group community!
__ You can take a stroll through the Hershey Apple Core web site at http://www.microserve.com/hac and you'll agree with both The User Group Network and The Academy in their unanimous vote that Chuck is a true champion! The HAC is based in Hershey PA, and if you're in driving range, you'll want to join.
