UG Academy Grant Program "Partnering Technology In Our Schools" |
|
| What will three new iBooks, and accessories do for a local high school?
User Group Academy took a trip to visit the Maryland Apple Corps User Group and the Dulaney High School in Baltimore Co, Maryland. I was so pleased to receive the invitation to visit with the Maryland Apple Corps, and member Marie Ponzillo, Computer Liaison for Dulaney High School. __ Marie (at right, center) authored and submitted her grant proposal to the 1999 User Group Academy Grants program, naming Dulaney High School as their local public school Partner. As winners of a $5,000 Grant, they purchased three Apple iBook laptop computers and accessories for their program: "Teachers and Technology To Go." |

__ Our hosts for this wonderful day-long visit were
Larry and Mical Carton, active MD Apple Corp members, and Baltimore area computer
specialists, along with Marie Ponzillo, also an Apple Corp member. Next, let's see what they do. . .
