User Group Network News Service

The User Group Network News Service is a valuable resource for yourself, and your UG membership!

The UGNet-News Service wants to help your newsletter editor to get the latest news, views and reviews -- and become more productive, while improving your UG newsletter.

Affiliate User Groups access a periodical News package with contents your newsletter editors can republish for YOUR members:
  1. General articles (2);
  2. "Letter to the Editor" article (1);
  3. "Q&A" article, Reviews (2 );
  4. Graphics, Cartoons;
  5. UG Management article;
  6. and the Monthly "Editor's Help" feature.

Packages are available to Affiliates on an ongoing basis via FTP in the UGNet online service center.

Affiliate Assignments...

UGNN Affiliates will also be issued ID cards, and information about attending tradeshows and other events where UGNN coverage is needed.
* At times Affiliates may be called upon to submit specific articles, or to review a product or software that the UGNN New Products Editor receives.
* Affiliates will also have access to UGNN designated areas at computer shows and industry events.

Become a UGNet-News Service Affiliate

Register with The UGNet News (UGNN), and fill the requirements. That's all there is to it. Send an email to: Fred Showker - showker@user-groups.net
A registration form will be sent via email to get you started.

Fulfillment:
  1. Agree to publish one of the three Spronsor items (included on in the news package) in the current, or following newsletter.
  2. Mail one copy of each newsletter to the UGNet-News office
  3. Display the UGNet-News Service Affiliate logo in each issue of the groups newsletter. (1 x 1 EPS or Tiff file supplied.)
  4. Contribute (an item) article, graphic, column, etc. some time during each quarter, or upon request from the UGNet-News Staff.

* Your group become "A UGNN Affiliate Group" (Logo supplied)
* One member becomes the UGNN Affiliate.

Affiliates will be required to update their charter every 11 months. Upon Approval of your Affiliation you will be sent a password to the private UGNet-News Service FTP and Resource Center. Your editor can then download and/all items which become available, as they are posted through a secure firewall server, requiring a USERID and PASSWORD.
