Apple MacBook Woes continue to pile up

"I'm only happy I didn't buy the MacBook Pro last week when learning it doesn't run Classic. Even more glad, this morning, as I was putting together our weekly MacBook news coverage... news of *Swelling Batteries* that bust out of the bottom of the case; * Mooing noises from the fan; * High running temperatures; and * weird video card behavior. Where to turn? Not DELL! I also have photos of a Dell laptop exploding and burning in Japan last week! But there's more... UGNN Blog Entry

AppleWorks and the Intel Mac

... I would like to upgrade from my iBook to a MacBook Pro. ... My questions are: (1) What software can I use on a MacBook Pro for my spreadsheets, etc . . . AppleWorks works perfectly well on an Intel Mac -- and that includes your future MacBook Pro. While no Universal edition exists (or is likely to), AppleWorks 6.2.9 runs fine under Apple's PowerPC emulation software, Rosetta. AppleWorks is NOT bundled with Intel Macs Macworld - San Francisco, CA, USA
