Fourth iPhone commercial coming to a TV near you

There are currently three iPhone commercials available on Apple's web site. This time around, we learn that the Internet on the iPhone isn't a "watered down version of the internet" or "the mobile version of the Internet" or the "'kinda sorta looks like the Internet' Internet." Rather, it's just "the Internet, on your phone." Ars Technica - Boston, MA, USA

iPhone: Do you believe the hype?

Apple Inc. has no experience making cellphones. Almost nobody has personally seen its new star product, much less used it, yet the asking price is five times what most people have been willing to pay for a phone. So why is Apple's iPhone suddenly the world's No. 1 must-have product? Sure, it's loaded with features and more innovative and elegant than any previous handset. But the key ingredient could be the near-mystical marketing prowess of Apple and its chief executive, Steve Jobs.
"Everyone on the planet seems to know about this product," said Jen O'Connell, an Atlanta cellphone industry consultant and commentator who as a wireless executive has helped introduce about 100 phones.

Apple CEO to iPhone: 'So Bright... So Beautiful... Ah, My Precious.'

Apple's iPhone hasn't even arrived at market yet, and it's already starting to suck all the air out of the news cycle. If Apple's goal of peddling 10 million iPhones by December 2008 seemed a bit too ballsy when the company first announced the device, few seem to be questioning it now.
