Looking Good in iChat

eCamm's iGlasses for iChat AV

iglasses If you have ever been frustrated by your lighting, or lack thereof, when using your iSight or other video camera with iChat AV, you may need iGlasses -- a cool little enhancement tool that allows you to take control of your lighting situations so that you look good under nearly any ambient light. iGlasses will even activate an iSight on G3 computers that don't meet the minimum system requirements from Apple!

If you find yourself fidgeting with desk lamps, window shades or even splurging for a SightLight, iGlasses is just fun and can really make the user look good. Under ambient daylight, room light, by the light of your monitor or even in near total darkness, you can enhance, alter and adjust your outgoing image with a few simple sliders or just by using the presets.

night vision After trying the demo, I was prepared to spend about twice what iGlasses costs (just $8.00) as it was just fun to play with. I was able to easily create my own presets for my most frequent lighting environments and I have to wonder how long it will take for Apple to "acquire" this one. (I'm hoping that it isn't in the Karelia way, either!) Select from some easy presets including standard, extra bright, super bright, enhanced, or night vision, as well as some other more creative alterations and just go from there. iGlasses will also work with other USB web cams with the help of Ecamm's iChatUSBCam option.

If iChat is your thing, but you just can't get enough light on the subject, give iGlasses a spin.
