Recover Lost, Erased Music from iPod

The PodSalvage utility recovers music files

SubRosaSoft.com has announced the immediate availability of PodSalvage version 2.0. PodSalvage is an easy to use application that has been designed to recover music files that have been deleted intentionally or accidentally from your iPod, MP3 player, hard disk and most other types of storage.

Ben Slaney, co-author of PodSalvage says:
"The latest MP3 Players such as the iPod are very rugged. However, the contents of your MP3 Player can still be erased accidentally. PodSalvage will recover any deleted MP3, M4A, or M4P files from your iPod and place them in a folder on your hard disk. It will recover files you have accidentally deleted, or if they have become unreadable due to media faults, or if you accidentally initialize the built in hard drive or flash memory."

PodSalvage can currently recover MP3 and M4A/M4P (iTunes AAC), AIFF and WAV files. Although created specifically for iPods, PodSalvage also works with most brands of MP3 players and hard disks.ÊIt is device and file system independent. You can recover files from a hard drive, USB key, PC disk, FLASH card, scratched CD etc.

"Like our other Salvage utilities, PodSalvage is extremely straightforward to use. PodSalvage's easy-to-use interface was designed for all OS X users. The whole recovery operation can be completed with a few clicks." Said Marko Kostyrko, CEO of SubRosaSoft.com Ltd. "Simply plug your iPod or other MP3Player into your computer, select the player/media in PodSalvage, choose a folder to recover the songs to and click the start button."

Written specifically for Mac OS X, PodSalvage includes powerful features that give a user greater flexibility and control in recovering deleted files.

Safety first

PodSalvage will never write to the media you are salvaging the tunes from.
