I have mentioned the Internet Tourbus newletter and web site, a number of times over the years. Hopefully you are taking advantage of their material. However, they have changed their URL, supposedly because for some reason, last summer Google decided to drop TOURBUS.COM from their index as a result their site traffic has declined tremendously. So their new address is http://www.internettourbus.com
Please note however, when I did a search for the old name nothing came up, but searching for the old name actually got a result, saying that it was an expired URL. So I am not sure that their new effort will help.
In any case, it is well worth it to add it to your bookmarks and/or your e-mail newsletter list. (Either URL will work currently in the browser address box.) www.internettourbus.com

France is in the process of passing a law requiring Apple to open up its iPod to other download services while allowing people owning other MP3 players to access iTunes. Apple's response is to say the act will result in "state-sponsored piracy." Saying that iPod sales will undoubtedly raise under this law, but that legal sale of music would decrease tremendously.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce has backed Apple's stance. A number of articles have covered this story.

I wrote last week, about how a couple of guys got Windows XP to boot on a Mac. Now, the question is, "How fast does it work?" Note: that doesn't mean how fast you can install it, I have seen that after learning how, XP can be installed in a hour, but it will take practice. Gearlog, has a review of just how fast XP runs. They say that Apple makes a really fast Windows machine, as long as you aren't dealing with applications that need to access the video cards directly, like games. Drivers haven't been written to do that yet. ... see the full story...
