This site didn't give me many new links, but it certainly reminded me of many I have used in the past. I was surprised that they didn't list dealmac as a price comparison site. www.magicpubs.com

Skype for Mac OS X

Skype is now at Version 1.4.0.49. It can forward calls to other Skype Names or regular phones, it will pause iTunes for a call, will allow drag and rop contacts to add to chats and calls, and it is now Universal binary.

I got to get a head set to try it out, but I have downloaded it. They are saying that calls to land lines will be free until the end of the year. Or course, there are versions for Windows and Linux too. More info and download ... www.skype.com

60-Seconds #188: AOL Gone Bad

Fred relates the long and sad story of how spam and online crime have driven some ISPs to blind, extreme measures which threaten the very usability of the internet.

AOL, one of the world's longest trusted providers can no longer be trusted -- their overzealous quest to sell accounts by offering "spam blocking" is having the effect of isolating their user base from other web users. The following is a saga Fred followed first hand -- sad but true www.60-seconds/188

Seems people are looking for a user group and not finding one. We generally field inquiries from our database, but user group renewals and updates have become sparse or nonexistent over the past year. If you have a user group you should be registered -- at least so people can find you. In the past 30 days UGNN "UG Finder" has had inquiries from people searching for a user group. I've listed all the cities in the UG department of the UG department of UGNN.com blog
