GIMP has long been available for Unix systems for Graphic Image manipulation. This web site is dedicated to the Macintosh version of this software. I had always thought that GIMP was an open source program, but this one is offered for sale at $79.99. Which is a lot cheaper than Photoshop, but more expensive than Graphic Converter, but then, it is closer in ability to Photoshop than GC. Check it out at: www.macgimp.org
