I am not sure why anyone would want to do this, but since Office 2007 radically reorganizing the way users think and work with applications, Microsoft has decided that it is important to get other applications to use the same interface will enable users to become familiar with it quicker They have announced that along with the perpetual, royalty-free license will be a 120+ page document detailing the precise use the designed features.

This OReilly article tells how to run Mac OS X on an Intel machine other than one built by Apple. This is done using PearlPC, which is a PowerPC emulator and thus works similarly to VirtualPC on a PowerPC Mac running Windows. CompUSA will start selling Microsoft's Vista Windows Business and Windows Small Business 2007 to small business customers starting November 30th. The consumer versions, Vista Basic and Premium will be available on January 30th. So it looks like MS will beat Leopard to market after all. (Read More)

The use of devices like Griffin's "iTrip" has been banned in the UK because they could interfere with broadcasts by radio stations. Jon Johansen, a.k.a. DVD Jon, has developed a system that could allow iTunes music stores to be download to MP3 players other than iPods. Apparently this system will also with a license, allow competing digital download stores to download songs that could play on iPods.
