I recently saw an advertisement for Spell Catcher. I used to have a copy of it on my Classic Mac machine. I loved the fact that I only had to enter a new word only once for it to be used in all applications.

While Spell Catcher is great for accessing its database of words, gSpeill can suggest words based on the Google engine.
