Think twice: before sharing music

The recording industry has won the largest judgment so far against consumers who illegally download music over the Internet when a federal jury ordered a 30-year-old Minnesota woman to pay $222,000 for copyright infringement. Los Angeles Times article by Joseph Menn

Low Prices this Holiday Season?

In an article entitled "Holiday TV pricing is key for retailers." Business Week is saying that already the writing is on the wall for low prices this year. Wal-Mart has already announced price cuts of 10 to 50 percent on its "Top 12 Toys of Christmas."

MacCompanion October 2007 Issue

I have been recommending macCompanion for sometime now to MUG members. It is basically the largest Mac mug publication in my mind. In someways it reminds me of the old BMUG newsletter. The biggest differences compared to BMUG is its publication schedule. Monthly as opposed to quarterly. And the fact that it doesn't take any trees to publish it unless the end user decides to print it. See the full story...

iSight movies, snapshots, timelapse

If you're like me, after getting acquainted with your iSight enabled Mac, you started getting all kinds of ideas of cool things you could do with it -- of course other than just iChat. But Photobooth was seriously limited. What to do? See the full story...

Cool Links: Do you like sunsets?

This is the most fun discovery I've made in quite a while. I'm continually on the lookout for more and better web cams at the beach and travel destinations I like. The problem is, web cams are about as reliable as web sites -- they go and come as they please -- and this week's link might go nowhere next week.
Eternal Sunset site strives to allow you to enjoy a sunset live from any location, at any time. As the sunset moves westward, Eternal Sunset continuously tunes into different webcams, chasing the sunset around the globe. This service is currently provided through the use of 271 west-facing webcams across 52 countries. www.eternalsunset.net

Have a great week... (See last week)
