ICANN, Malware, crime against internet users

All of our preaching for the complete dismantling and restructuring of ICANN is now being validated and reinforced by activities from several other internet crime-fighting agencies. We've reported the investigative work by KnujOn.com many, many times. A second agency has now entered the fray to provide yet more substantial evidence that ICANN is at the root of the cybercrime problem. Read this article at www.safenetting.com

Sometimes it is nice to miss a meeting...

Well, it wasn't because I wanted to, but we had to cancel the Cowtown MUG meeting this month. Like many groups, we had gotten smaller and had to turn the finances of our group around, so we went looking for a less expensive meeting place. IMHO from Lynn

Deter. Detect. Defend. Avoid ID Theft

My September 11th, 2008 post provides some very good educational learning on Identity Theft. We'll be adding to this page more in the future. I encourage all UG newsletter editors to link to this, or build your own pages in your web site.
-- Watch these videos to learn a thing or two about phishing, keeping kids safe online, reducing spam, and protecting your computer against unwanted intrusions. And, if you grab these videos to post on other websites, you'll be helping to spread the word about staying safe online. A Spanish version is also included! Safenetting from Fred

Speed Download 5.0.6 new improvements

I have tried this software in the past and it did truly speed download. However, for reasons that I can not remember at this time, but probably due to budget restraints, I deleted it once the trial period was over. This looks to me to be worthy of a second look. (Read More)

Quotes: Will Rogers' humor

There's no trick to being a humorist when you have the whole government working for you.

The income tax has made more liars out of the American people than golf has.

The more you read and observe about this Politics thing, you got to admit that each party is worse than the other. The one that's out always looks the best.

We can't all be heroes because somebody has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by.

Have a great week... (See last week)
