Academic Reference Manager for Pages

for formatting citations and bibliographies

Third Street SoftwareThird Street Software today announced the release of Sente 5.2, the first academic reference manager to include native support for formatting citations and bibliographies in Apple Pages '08 documents.

Prior to Sente 5.2, users who wanted to format citations and bibliographies in Pages '08 had to save their documents as RTF (or RTFD), scan these files, and re-import the results, which frequently results in the loss of important formatting and page design details. Because Sente 5.2 works with Pages '08 files in their native format, all document formatting and content are preserved, making it far easier to use Pages for academic writing.

Sente 5.2 also adds support for Nisus Writer and TextEdit, as well as for scanning HTML and plain text documents. Along with earlier versions of Sente, this new version also includes support for Microsoft Word and Mellel, as well as generic RTF and RTFD scanning.

System requirements:
* Sente 5 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
* 1GB RAM (or more) is recommended.
* Sente is a Universal Binary for PowerPC and Intel Macs.

Sente Pricing and Availability:
This is a free upgrade for all Sente 5 owners. People who originally purchased Sente 1, 2 or 3, and who have not yet upgraded to Sente 5, can purchase an upgrade for $39.95. A standard, single-user license for Sente can be purchased for USD $129.95. Academic licenses are available for USD $89.95. A fully-functional, 30-day demonstration version of Sente can be downloaded from the Third Street Software website.
