BittyDock Microdrive Access
Connect smallest Microdrives through Bus-Powered USB
WiebeTech previewed their smallest DriveDock product, BittyDock, which allows users to connect even the smallest drives to their computers through a bus-powered USB2 connection. Data on 1.8" and 1.0" drives can now be accessed without using an AC adapter.
James Wiebe, CEO of WiebeTech LLC. said:
"BittyDock is designed to allow easy attachment and mounting of the smallest storage devices, including Hitachi or Toshiba 1.8" drives, as well as 1.0" Micro drives... it's bus powered, so AC adapters are not needed. It's perfect for technicians, photographers or for anyone who wants to directly access small storage drives."
Access occurs at a speedy 15MB per second. The USB2 connector makes this a universal docking device. It works without drivers on any PC or Mac as long as OS 9.1, 9.2 OS X, Windows XP or Linux distributions supporting USB2 are used.
It's utterly simple. Connect the drive to the BittyDock, then connect the BittyDock to any available USB port. The drive will mount on the computer's desktop, giving immediate access to data.
