Gee Three Effects "Best of Show" in Boston

Slick Volume 5, 30 Wild FX effects

Wildform, creators of video, animation and presentation software, have announced that Gee Three, a company which produces software for Apple iMovie, has won "Best of Show" awards at the Boston Macworld conference for its Slick Volumes 7 and 8 which prominently feature Wildform Wild FX effects. Slick is a line of transitions and effects for Apple iMovie software.

Slick Volume 7

Slick Volume 7 includes 25 Wild FX effects and Slick Volume 8 includes 10 Wild FX effects. Wild FX effects are very distinctive and often elaborate text animations that are easily generated with the simple click of a mouse, without requiring complex animation programming. Their ease of use has made Wild FX a very popular product and has also made the effects an excellent addition to products such as Gee Three's Slick line.

Gee Three CEO, Bruce Gee commented, "Slick has become known for offering exciting new capabilities and features for iMovie and the Wild FX effects, provide a truly unique and dynamic addition to the product line." The successful licensing deal follows on previously released Slick Volume 5, released in July, 2003. Slick Volume 5, which includes 30 Wild FX effects, also won Macworld's Best of Show award for the New York Macworld.

"Software licensing provides another important distribution outlet for Wildform technology," noted Jonathan Blank, Wildform CEO. "We currently have a number of very successful licensing deals in place with companies such as Sony, which uses our Flix video technology in their Movie Studio and Acid software, eHelp (now owned by Macromedia) which licensed 100 of our Wild FX effects for use in their Robodemo software, and Gee Three. It's an important part of ensuring that Wildform's products reach the widest possible audience."
