Lismore Software Systems has announced the release and immediate availability of an updated version of Guest PC 1.2

What is Guest PC?

Guest PC is a Mac OS X application that allows you to easily create and manage virtual x86 computer on your Mac. You can install Windows operating system and access applications available only for Windows compatible computers.

The Guest PC has a build-in Windows Setup Assistant that allows to create your virtual computer promptly and easily and install Windows on it. Guest PC bundled with DOS and ready to install Windows.

What's new in Guest PC 1.2?

The most important thing about Guest PC 1.2 is 2x performance boost on G5s plus better support for dual-headed machines. Serial port support added. It became possible to communicate with serial devices such as modems, PDAs and cell phones. USB-to-Serial adapter is supported as well. Extended peripheral devices support. This feature allows to separately select modem and printer for every virtual computer.
