MacHack becomes ADHOC

but the conference stays the same

Carol Lynn of Expotech writes:
MacHack becomes ADHOC Ð or -- here's why Macintosh Developers should attend the ultimate conference by Mac Developers for Mac Developers... only the name has changed!

MacHack has changed its name to Advanced Developers Hands-On Conference. In tandem with the new name they are also changing the hack show somewhat, but the rest of the conference (the contents, the mission, the networking, the fun, the caffeine) all stay the same!

ADHOC 2004 happens on July 21st through July 24th, a few weeks after Apple's Information Dissemination conference. This should give plenty of time to absorb what was said there, get some work done for your bosses, and come to ADHOC with great ideas for spontaneous projects.

ADHOC is a great companion to WWDC; and if the budgets can't afford Apple's conference, ADHOC is a wonderful way to get an introduction and hands-on experience with Apple's new technologies.

Two great keynote speakers are scheduled to appear: Jordan Hubbard, Apple's manager of BSD Technologies, famous for FreeBSD and his countless Open Source contributions; and David Pogue, New York Times columnist, author, piano player.

Being a conference by Mac Developers for Mac Developers, you can help contribute to ADHOC's content. If you know something you're particularly good at, have learned some new Apple technology over the past year or so, and you'd like to lead a session on this topic, your fellow participants would definitely appreciated your efforts! Speakers also enjoy a very healthy discount off the already affordable standard registration fees.

Still MacHack, but with a new slant
