Troll Touch custom touchscreen systems for Apple hardware, has announced the User-Installable "SlipCOVER" touchscreen for the current Apple 20 and 24 inch aluminum iMacs.
Both sizes feature the company's proven, high resolution, analog resistive touchscreen technology which supports user input via fingertip, gloved hand or stylus. The products consist of a touch sensitive overlay that easily replaces the iMac's display glass and connects via a custom designed USB cable. To the casual observer, the iMac does not appear to have been modified. You may view a demo of the product by visiting the company's website.
Troll Touch continues to provide its internally integrated iMac touchscreen versions. Those systems may be purchased complete from the company, or the customer may ship previously-purchased machines to Troll Touch's Valencia, CA facilities for modification. Troll Touch is an Apple Scientific/Technical VAR and PSP and has been providing touch-enabled Apple products since 1987.
Announced prices are as follows:
20 inch aluminum iMac SlipCOVER Touchscreen System - $ 699.00 USD
24 inch aluminum iMac SlipCOVER Touchscreen System - $ 899.00 USD
The company also touch-enables the Apple 20, 23 and 30 inch Cinema displays, MacBook laptops, all previous iMac generations, the eMac, and both the 12 and 14 inch iBook laptop models.
