How Do I Spot, Avoid 'Phishing' Scams?

The only real way is to "view source" of the email and using your program's "Find" command search for the word "href" -- that should jump to the actual link in use. If it does not match your known "safe" link to that institution, then it's fake. Be sure you KNOW your institution's correct "href".
