Two banks the target of latest phishing scam

Internet security company Trend Micro has also issued a warning against spy-phishing, which is a technique used to target online banks and other password -- Emails purportedly from Citibank and OCBC Bank asked recipients for their personal data in order to verify their accounts, saying that unless this is done, access to their accounts will be denied. Two days ago, OCBC and Citibank were hit by the latest round of phishing emails. Both banks say the fraudulent sites have been closed. OpenDNS Touts Controversial Antiphishing Service

A San Francisco company hoping to combat phishing and botnet threats has found itself mired in controversy for using the Internet's domain name system (DNS) to act as a filter. OpenDNS launched on Monday and presents itself as a service along the lines of antiphishing toolbars, but with the difference that it operates at the DNS level.
