Agile Web Solutions' new 1Password now has a Password Strength Meter that allows you to quickly find weak passwords that need to be replaced with a stronger password, as well as a Generic Text Importer. This update is free to all 1Password customers.

* Password Strength Meter New password strength meter helps to easily find weak web passwords that may need to be replaced with stronger ones.

* New Generic Text Import The new Generic Text Import option helps to add information from any formatted text file.

* New Export Formats Added option to export all 1Password data to a 1Password Interchange File. This file is plain text and is useful for backup and migration purposes as it contains all of the data used by 1Password. It can also be used to merge and exchange information between different computers.

* Display Scope Added to Web Forms New "Display scope" feature added to the Web Forms attributes. The scope (Always, Web Pages, HTTP Auth, Never) allows you to control the information displayed in the Restore Form list.

* True Synchronization to my1Password New Sync with my1Password implementation allows data synchronization across multiple Macs. Currently only available to my1Password Alpha testers.

* Trial Period Now Includes Palm and Treo Functionality The export to Palm and Treo can now be used during the trial period without adding the Palm license.

* Sync to iPhone Now Includes All Wallet Items The iPhone bookmarklet created by 1Password now includes all wallet items, including bank accounts, software licenses, etc.

1Password may be downloaded from http://1password.com. A fully functional 30-day trial version is available, along with a free version limited to 20 items. Special media licenses are available for members of the press upon request. A single-user license costs USD$29.95 and a family license is available for USD$39.95.
