Stick Software announced version 1.1 of Aquatint, an image manipulation tool for Mac OS X. Aquatint gives you the ability to make glossy, "liquid" icons, buttons and logos more easily than you ever imagined possible. Just make a black and white silhouette, or "stencil", of your desired image, and Aquatint will do the rest! No artistic ability required! Aquatint can also make a wide variety of other looks, all based on the same simple stencil.
New in version 1.1 of Aquatint: vastly simpler stencil creation, numeric fields for input of exact parameter values, (optional) online version checking, a Preferences panel, lots of new display customization options, a more streamlined UI for trouble-free operation, and a few bug fixes thrown in for good measure.
Aquatint joins Stick Software products such as Eyeballs, Fracture, PhotoReviewer, BigFoot, Measles, Trisection and Constrictor. It is shareware, with a price of only $15 ($50 for commercial users), and it's free to try.
Jiggler is a freeware utility for Mac OS X that keeps your Mac awake through those lengthy tasks when it would rather fall asleep. How? By jiggling your mouse periodically. No more having to open System Preferences to change your sleep time and your screensaver delay, only to have to change them back again at the end. Just jiggle!
You can now jiggle for a preset period of time and then stop, to keep your machine awake through a long job and then allow it to fall asleep at the end. You can set Jiggler to jiggle automatically whenever your machine's processor is busy, or whenever a CD or DVD is being burned, or whenever a particular application is running. And there's now an onscreen indication that Jiggler is active, making it easy to know that your machine is being kept awake!
Stick Software is a developer of top-quality shareware, freeware and open-source products for Mac OS X. They develop our software for the Mac first, instead of making inferior ports from Windows. They even take requests from our users!
