QuickMix Video Editing
from Smiley Happy Software
QuickMix is a video-editing application that specializes in multi-track movies. Tracks can be viewed and edited independently or together. For example, if you're making a music video, you can edit the video track without affecting the sound track, then play both tracks together. Editing is performed with commands such as Copy and Paste, similar to QuickTime Pro, with more advanced capabilities available as well.
QuickMix has now been updated (v1.2) for Mac OS X, with a new registration system that makes basic features free, more robust exporting, and bug fixes and interface tweaks.
Specific changes since version 1.1:
- Basic functionality is now free. Advanced features can be accessed by registering.
- Expanded export options: you can specify file format, compression settings, filter, size, and Internet streaming settings
- The ability to export or save as a movie a single track in a document
- Bug fixes and interface tweaks
Basic features are free to use without restriction. In the unregistered version you can:
- Edit any video, sound, and music formats supported by QuickTime, including DV
- Specify a starting time for each track
- Control playback and selection with precision
- Combine tracks and split them apart again
- Save your projects as QuickTime movies
- Learn the basics from a built-in tutorial and access comprehensive help
Registration lets you use more advanced functionality. In the registered version you can:
- Use unlimited undo and redo
- Export to any QuickTime-supported format and change various export settings
- Change the duration of clips, making them faster or slower
- Change the rate at which movies are played
- Play movies in full-screen mode
